Community Halls and Enterprise

Community First Oxfordshire runs support services in the following areas:

Community halls
Community shops
Assets of community value

We believe that halls and shops are the beating heart of a community. These are places where people and groups come together to socialise, support each other, meet their needs, pick-up supplies, and access vital services. However, running these facilities can be a demanding task. We offer a variety of services to support mangers and management committees, including practical support and advice, training, regular updates for members and access to digital resources.

We also run an advice service in Cherwell District for communities considering listing local Assets of Community Value.

Thanks to you and your finance officer for all the valuable work you do, especially at the moment. I know that you are a valuable source of information and support for our hall committee.

Dean Court Community Association

Without the helpful advice from CFO I don’t think our management committee and volunteers would have achieved so much. For example, we asked for advice on insurance and saved over £500. Knowing that helpful advice is just an email or a phone call away is very reassuring.
